.... rest and play

Last weeks Craft Fest held on the Cold Coast was a huge success. Both Monica and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers, both old and new for their support.
The photo shows the lovely Sandy, who stepping in to help over several day. Thank you Sandy, you help and support was much appreciated!
It was lovely to finally meet customers whom I have known for a long time, but have never met!

I have a collection "odd" bead assortments that I will put up on my website and etsy store shortly as reduced prices. These are mainly mis-matched sets and colours but certainly not damaged or "seconds" in any way. Keep an eye out for these if you are after a bargain!

Today I get to play with my new torch - I have been itching to do this since it arrived last week but I was too busy - yay!!!! So...time to sign off and play. Ciao for now ~ Liz x

...craft fest on the gold coast

Yesterday, Monica and I set up our display for the Craft Fest being held at the Convention Centre on the Gold Coast this weekend - actually, its starts today - Friday.
The craft fair link (above) will take you to the main website...and give you very clear directions on how to get there. It was very easy as I tested them out myeself :)

It was hot and we were tired but by the end of the day the display was looking fabulous. All my pre-packaged bead sets are reduced and the single beads are all on display. For the first time, I will have earring kits featuring a pair of my hand made art glass beads and all the sterling silver findings you need to make them up for yourself! These are priced as "show specials" for this weekend only.
Dont forget to print off the show coupons for additonal freebies from both Mad Monnie and myself. These can be found on the Craft Fest website.
I look forward to meeting you over the weekend. I will not be there today...but Monica and Sandy will run the show. See you all on the weekend - ciao, Liz x

...something old - new - borrowed and blue!

Old? Well, this glass has been sitting amongst my glass stash for a very long time. I discovered it last week when I decided to clear my work table and focus on using some glass I don't normally use (but have lots of!). Silver loaded glass is all the rage at the moment - I'm just beginning to see why! It's totally addictive and completely unpredictable!

So, while it technically it is old, its new for me and I am looking forward to more work in this style of bead. I have borrowed a press from a friend (which I since returned) and the blues and deep greens from this glass make it all a marriage heaven for me :)
Needless to say, that since discovering this treasure, I have found more of the same and some a little different. In the weeks to come, you will be able to buy sets beads made in this style from my etsy store or directly from my website.

This week I have added several new pieces of jewellery... new earrings and some bracelets. Let me know what you think! Ciao for now.... Liz x

....total strangers

Don't you just love it when a total stranger lets you know that they love the beads you make? Today I had an email from slinkymalinkicat letting me know that she had chosen my Noosa Sea Glass Focal bead to be featured in an Etsy Treasury she had put together. I am just thrilled to see my work in someone else's etsy shop - The etsy treasurey only lasts for a limited time, so make sure you hop on over and see the fabulous collection objects d'art that make up Ice Cream Castles ... yum!

The bead front this week sees a continued focus on my etsy shop and beads for sale on my webpage. Today I listed some bead pairs - perfect for earrings. I find that sometimes buyers like to buy just what they need and not necessarily the whole set. So, for my followers who have been asking...these are for you. Have a fabulous week - see you next time, Liz x

.... a change of season.

Well....where is Autumn? I have been waiting and waiting for the cooler weather to arrive ... but nothing! In fact, this week temperatures reached 36 degrees (not once, but twice!!)
I was hoping things would start to cool down but I guess it's not going to happen just yet. So, we are off to the beach for the weekend to cool off!
My focus this week has been to re-stock my etsy shop. These are some of the goodies you can find on show at the moment. I am still obsessed with my Noosa Sea Glass and have made a several sets, the first which is already available on etsy. They are softly etched and have a smooth satin feel to them. I will be adding focal beads that complement this style of bead - watch this space! The prices are listed in US dollars - Aussie buyers should contact me for a revised price.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Till next time, have fun and take care - Liz x
