... bloomin' amazing

... flower power kept me very busy at Floriade (Canberra) a few days ago. It was overcast and cold and eventually it rained but it was great to see the amazing beds of floral goodness spread throughout the Floriade grounds. I now have lots of imagery to keep me motivated and a wonderful photographic library of flower pictures - the colours and shapes (and pollen free) close-ups will be fabulous reference point for future work!

... inspiration in all shapes, colour and forms
... some of my favourites - deliciously pink tulips

Of course, the other reason for my fast and furious trip to Canberra was to teach a Flower beadmaking course at the Canberra Glassworks. I spent a few days in the "Chapel" preparing for my class and then a fabulous day with my students on Saturday. Many thanks for Mel and Ruth for making me feel so welcome!
Of course, its wonderful to be able to "study" all those gorgeous flowers at your leisure - not encroaching on anyone elses line of view and the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with some of natures beautiful handiwork! I made these two toned pansies not long after I got home. You can now find these and others in my estore. Pop in and have a browse - if you can't see anything you like and would like your blooms in custom made colours then simply write me an email!
