... can you feel it?

It's coming .... Christmas that is, and it's everywhere!
I am starting to get a little excited about it all. I try not to get caught up in all the hype that seems to start earlier and earlier every year but there comes a time when you can fight it anymore, so I'm stepping in, baubles and all.
These are part of my new Bold + Beautiful collection which I'm excited to be launching at the BrisStyle designer markets on December 5.
These earrings come from Hot Dot series - bright, fun and funky earrings - these ones happen to come in Cherry Red and Apple Green.
Find some in my etsy store now, or better still come and see the entire collection at the markets on Racecourse Road in Hamilton.
My Creative Arty Facts Garden Boutique will be located on the grassed area on lawns of St Augustine's Church. Talk soon - Liz x

... I love it when

... I can't see where one colour ends and the next one begins! The frangapani trees are flowering at the moment and this one with the orange, pink and yellow blooms would have to be my absolute favourite! I just want to eat them - but then I wouldn't have them to look at!
I love this colour scheme too at the moment - perfect for summer living in the semi tropics. The colours around me seem to influence the beads I make, so watch out for some big, bright and beautiful summer fun beads - coming your way very soon!
With the BrisStyle designer markets less than 3 weeks away, I am once again in panic (slight) mode. I think I have it all under control but there's always something that upsets the plans. So far, so good. I am looking forward to catching up with family, friends and customers where I will have lots of new and very different work to show you. Write this one up in your diary as you wont want to miss this perfect opportunity to catch some quality designer goods. So, see you there! Liz

.... does this hurt ?

OK - it's been a very interesting week as I have spent most of the past 7 days on medication, at doctors' surgery, having physio/chiropractic work done, getting ultra sounds and x-rays etc.etc. I hurt my shoulder last weekend and have been pretty much out of action for the past week. I'm on the mend now but it's been a slow and very painful hobble down recovery road.

On a much lighter note, I am thrilled to say that this year, my glass jewellery has been selected to be on show at the Canberra Glassworks as part of the Christmas display that will be run alongside the annual Limited Lines exhibition. It is a collaboration of works from creative glass artists Australia wide whose work will go on show November 25th. This is a sneak peak at some new work I am putting together for Christmas display - it's very mod and funky and I just love it! More pics coming your way later!

This week I will be attending the private shopping experience at the Red Hill Gallery (19.11.09). On show will be a new line of work for me and I am looking forward to spending some "social time" with invited guests. Hope to see you there - ciao for now, Liz

....buzzing (as always)

It's been a very quiet but busy week for me and I was relieved when this afternoon I was able to take some photos of my finished pieces that are going on show next week at the Miles Art Gallery at Dogwood Crossing. All the pieces are packed, wrapped and ready to go! The last of the bead kits ordered at the show last week have been made and posted so that just leaves the net orders to fill - onto that this week!

Did I tell you that last week I was lucky enough to see a special preview screening of the Time Traveller's Wife? I've been waiting for this movie to come out ever since I read the book last year. If you have the chance to see it - GO! You wont regret it! Last week I also caught up with some special friends and saw the movie Julia and Julie - very funny and a real " feel good" film. I'm waiting for my very own copy of her book: Mastering the Art of French Cooking to arrive . It will give the "pretend" French cooks in our house a run for their courgettes ~ can't wait! Au revoir, Liz
