the business end....

This week we welcome and thank Lily Dickson from Hot Bead Box glass supplies (Melb-Australia) and the lovely Robin Koza who runs Glass Diversions for their very generous donations of glass packs and open order vouchers for glass products. Make sure you follow these link and check out the products that these girls supply.

We thank you for your generous support and donations. These are perfect prizes for the glass bead makers who have themselves, have donated very generously to our support our Think Pink fundraiser event.
The donations, prizes and gift vouchers have started to arrive and everyday is like Christmas. My dining table is "eye candy" and full of beautiful jewellery, beads, bottles, glass etc. etc. I will post some pictures soon but for the time being, here is a close -up of the hand painted labels I made up for the Champagne give-aways.

On the bead front this weeks sees some new silver cored beads, earrings and bracelets up for grabs. There are lots on this page, so make sure you scroll down all the way to see everything that's on offer. Spring colours this season see big and bold. I have toned them down a little but love the green and brown combination.

gathering momentum ....

Things are really starting to come together for the Brisbane Beadmaker's Think Pink High Tea being held on October 5, 2008. Thank you to all those who have offered their support in the way of gift and doantions. If you intend to donate items but just haven't had a chance to let us know, please drop me a quick email.

This week we welcome Tania from TLC Books in Manly (Qld) and thank her for her support. Tania will have a selection of glass and craft related books on display at the High Tea, so make sure you book your tickets and come along. and have a look at all the wonderful hand made art glass on dispaly. If you need further information, please contact me: liz@creativeartyfacts.com.au

I have a few new silver cored beads up on the beads page, along with some new earrings and bracelets. Make sure you stop by and have a look.

I have also started to re-stock my etsy store. I have lots more to put in but just need some time to photograph them all and post them up. As we head towards our spring and summer weather, my bead style and colours tend to change. Much of what will go into the store will be the cooler coloured beads, perfect for the fall season that's just beginning on the other side of the world.

busy, busy, busy.

The relaxing weekend at the Noosa Jazz Festival was only a few days ago, but already it feels like a distant memory! Dont you just hate it when you come back from a weekend away and your feet hit the ground running!

I love this photo of my friend Katherine and I. We sat on the lawn of the very swish Perigian Springs Golf Club and watched her partner Jeff play with his band, the Synchopators. It was a good time to spend with family and catch up with long lost friends.

On the jewellery front this week, sees new silver cored beads added to the beads page, and some new bracelets too! Summer brights featuring solid, bold colours are in as are my favourite colour discord like pinks/reds/oranges and blues and greens.
I am still working towards re-stocking my etsy shop. This will most likely happen in the next week or so. Make sure you come back to check as it will re-open with a Spring Clean-out"
The Think Pink Team have made wonderful progress and tickets are selling fast to our High Tea. If you are interested in attending or would like further information, please contact me: liz@creativeartyfacts.com.au

spring has sprung ....

Did you manage to get to the Riverfire fireworks on the banks of the Brisbane River over the weekend?
They were absolutely fabulous! The place was packed out but well worth the efforts of making our way in on public transport.
On the way home, we spied the Brisbane Eye lighting up the night sky!
It looked amazing and the next day we went back to ride the big Ferris wheel.
The view from the top was amazing and if you have the chance to go for a spin, then just do it!
