.... time to play!

... my bead soup goodies have finally arrived and will have me thinking hard to how I'm going to use them. My beads soup party partner lives in the UK, where a change of season is turning towards Autumn inspired colours

My gorgeous package included some beautiful hand made glass beads: a focal and matching spacer beads, complementing Czech beads (my all time favourites) and some smaller beads (including delicas) in similar shades and tones to that of the focal bead! Also included was an amazing copper toggle, which I am really keen to play with. The object of the game was to use materials and colours outside your comfort zone - both these boxes have been checked! Stay tuned and watch this space for updates!

Apart from the overseas goodies that arrived yesterday, this week has been dedicated to finishing off new pieces that will make their way down south to the Canberra Glassworks. Floriade is an annual month long festival that is held in Canberra - it is the perfect time of the year if you're wanting some floral inspiration and coincidentally, much of the work I'm packing has a definitive "floral" look to it!

... transparent pink roses - Canberra bound

My monthly newsletter will be sent out later this week with more details and information regarding the floral workshop I am teaching at the Glassworks. In the mean time, follow the CIT link for class content and workshop information. Have a great week ~ back soon, Liz x
